Questions
What counts as "eligible from Ireland"? A role is eligible if you
can do it while resident in Ireland: the listing is either open worldwide or names Ireland among
the countries it accepts, its stated hours cover Irish time, and nothing in the job text requires
you to be authorised to work somewhere else. We show you the specific clause we relied on, so you
can judge the edge cases yourself.
Why so few, out of all the remote jobs out there? About 3% of
worldwide remote listings are genuinely open to someone living in Ireland, and we'd rather tell
you that than pad the number. Most "remote" roles are remote within one country. That 3%
is exactly the problem: without a filter you'd read a hundred listings to find three you could
take.
What about UK roles? Irish citizens can work in the UK under the
Common Travel Area, but a "UK remote" role usually assumes UK payroll and tax residence, which
someone living in Ireland can't simply take on. So we don't count those as eligible by default.
Including them roughly doubles the number of roles available to you.
